aMUSEing

A few weeks ago, we yo-yo'd down to North Carolina.  For us that is a 14-16 hour drive, which gave us a lot of time to listen to music.  After exhausting my musical mixes on my iPod Touch, hubby took out his iPhone and put on Pandora.  Seeing as I am a huge music fan, this website is appealing to me because you can type in a band or a song that you like and it will make a music station for you out of songs that are like the criteria you enter in the beginning.  Just try it!

Anyway, I have become a Muse-head!  I first heard them on Guitar Hero 3, with their song "Knights of Cydonia."  I then had my ears grabbed by them again with their song "Supermassive Black Hole" on the Twilight soundtrack.  And, thanks to Pandora, I now have a pretty awesome Muse channel on my feed.  For more than a week now they are all I have listened to.

Now that you know what is in my ears, I'll give you the tour of the weekend.  I went to the NH Sheep & Wool Festival in Hopkinton, NH.  What a vast difference in weather from the MD Sheep & Wool the week before!  MD was in the 90's.  NH was in the 50's.  I have to say I prefer the hot weather!  We were not at the festival for very long as we were cold and the vendors did not seem to have a lot.  Don't know if they didn't bring a lot or if they were just that picked over.  I tend to doubt they were picked over, though, because Saturday was so rainy and miserable that I can't imagine the festival was that crazy busy on Saturday - but I digress.

We did see lots of beautiful fiber animals, and it was great to spend time with my family.  Here's a couple pics for you.

This week will prove to be a busy one, as the Simple Pleasures Packages for May are on sale.  I increased the number available, so there are still some left.  Be sure to grab one, as there are only a couple days left to get one (last month many folks missed out).

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

I LOVE Muse! If you get the chance, it's worth seeing them in concert.

Muse is fantastic! When I lived in NY a neighbor turned me on to their music!

I might have to try using the Pandora app for my Blackberry today while driving to NY.

You are the fiber fest queen this year! Wonderful pics from the last show!

Well, hurry up and move south already then, although it's MUCH cooler here too. We've had freeze warnings two nights in a row. Hrmph!

Pandora is great! I'll have to give a listen to Muse.

I'm glad you had a nice time with your family, even if it was a bit cold :)

I really want to try your Simple Pleasures package, but I'll have to save up some money first! :)

You know I'm right there with you with MUSE! They are awesome! I haven't tried Pandora, but it sounds a lot like Last.fm have you tried them? I can stream Last FM on my Itouch so i can supplement my playlist if necessary.

Pictures are awesome!
