2009 Wrap-Up // New KAL

This is the time of year that people reflect on their accomplishments and set goals for the new year. Well, I am certainly no exception to this rule. I love this time of year...

I spent time this weekend getting myself organized on paper. I bought this great notebook that is called "The Organizer" - and it has a big spot for "project planning notes" and a margin for "project action notes"... well, this is right up my alley, and hasn't left my hands much except to knit.

Speaking of knitting, I have an FO. I am calling them my "Contemporary Monkey Socks." (Ravelry Link)

Now, can we talk about Ravelry for a minute? Knitting and crocheting friends, if you aren't on this site, I highly recommend it. Not only is it a great place to organize your projects/yarn/needles/etc., but the forums are so much fun, and there is a group for every interest you can think of.

That being said, I'd love to invite you all to my NH Knitting Mama group. I have had such a great time getting to know the guys and gals in the group, and we're starting a lace knit-along with a yarn prize. So, consider yourself invited and join the fun. We'd love to see you there!

Hey nice segue from Ravelry to a plug!!! LOL But I agree, Ravelry is FANTASTIC! I love the patterns you can search for. In fact the cowl I'm doing now is a mixture of two patterns I found on R. And I also love to research a yarn, see what it looks like knit up. Some yarns are gorgeous in the hank, but knit up COMPLETELY different! AND it lets you see what projects you can make with it.

I agree, Ravelry is GREAT!

The socks look great!

You've inspired me to do some project planning as well. I have so much to do, that sounds like exactly what I can do to keep track of everything!
