My friend at work just found out that her 6 year old niece has Leukemia. I'd like to knit her a hat, as she is undergoing chemo/radiation in Boston, and this is an awful cold time of year!
If you're interested in making a hat for Megan, please contact me and I'll email you the address to send it to by Feb 29th. She loves pastels, and I'm sure she'd love embellishments like flowers, sequins, or ribbons. Head diameter approx. 20".
I appreciate your generousity, and I'm sure Megan will, too.

Oooh I"m so sorry for your friend... but will be more than thrilled to knit up a fun and cute hate for her daughter. I have loads of ideas too :-) Would she like something whimsical? A pastel fun fur monster hat?? A rainbow hat? or just something with lots of squigglies coming out of the top?
Oh that just sucks. In so many ways. I am so sorry.
Absolutely yes, I would love to knit her a hat. I've got some pretty pinks & yellows in my stash that are just waiting for a little girl. I just need one tiny piece of info from you - and that is what size a 6 year old girl's head is? Aprrox. how many inches? (Since I don't have kids and all my friends kids are much older!)
You can contact me thru the email link in my blogger profile or PM me on Ravely. Take care!
I'll make one.
I'm totally in! Email me and let me know what size, and what colors she likes!
Me too! Send me the address and I'll get right on it!
I would love to knit her a hat too. We can make her time in care really really enjoyable I think. Presents are always fun. I'm with cath. What size hat does a six year old wear?? I don't know any kids in that age range.
Oh she doesn't have any wool allergies or anything does she??
I would LOVE to knit her a hat. Please email me, and I'll get started!
I'd love to knit her a hat.
This girl will have a fantastic collection of hats!
sorry to hear about little megan :(
She will have so many hats to chose from lol
I am in, I would love to knit her a hat and I have some lovely blue yarn I bought from a certain etsy shop that will be perfect!!
Email me when you get a chance..Thanks!! This will take my mind off things..I"m in for a huat and maybe something else on the side :-)
I am so sorry to hear that. I will definitely knit up a hat for her.
What a wonderful idea.
I started one this morning for her. If you'll email me the address, I should have it done by the end of the week (if not sooner!). Trying to think positive and healing thoughts with each stitch.
Oh, definitely! I'll do a hat. Count me in.
I am so sorry to hear about Megan. What an awful thing to happen.
I would love to make her a hat!
It's just not fair! I will pass on the word to the Concord group.
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope her treatment and recovery goes well.
I think you have enough knitters for hats by now and too much money would go into the shipping from here, so I won't knit anything. I would be willing to sponser yarn for someone to knit something for her though. Let me know if you are in need of yarn (that I can purchase over the internet).
I would love to send a hat. Thanks for the opportunity to help a sweet little girl.
Please send it my way!
If Crochet is okay, I would love too make a hat for Megan!
I'm very sorry to hear about your friend :(
I just started making a Swirled Ski Cap in pastel colors on Sunday! I'd love to donate it to Megan!!
What kind of leukemia? The used to be most fatal type in children, as I understand it, is now the most curable type--here's wishing them all the best. And happy birthday Poppy, a day late!
I'll do one! I have some pretty yellow and pink!
I'm so very sorry to hear this. I'd be honored to make Megan a hat.
I am so very sorry to hear about your friend's neice. This actually happens to be one of my knitting charity projects so I will make sure I include a hat in your box.
I hope her chemo/radiation goes quickly
