Zack Tellier

One of my best friends from high school was killed in action in Afghanistan. I'm at a loss for words, but wanted to give tribute to my friend.

Here is the article from the local paper.

Here is Big Daddy's blog post - even closer to Zack than I was.

God Bless our troops and their families.

Wow. Thank you, Big Daddy, for bringing him to life for me. I'm glad he was friend to you all. It seems so
so
so
wrong. He shouldn't be gone. I'm so sorry.

I am so terribly sorry to hear about your friend. It's so tragic for someone to die so young. I will keep both your family & his family in my prayers.

Having recently experienced the death of a good friend, I feel for you and your family. You and your husband are in my thoughts and I hope that as it did for me, thoughts and comforting words from your blogland friends will help with the pain.

My brother is undergoing training to run the communications on the medevac copters. He has been there and will be going back. I feel for you and appreciate the loss you are dealing with. Every soldier we lose is a singular tragedy.

I'm so very sorry. So so sad. So many have made the ultimate sacrifice. And words are so flat at a time like this.

NH Knitting Mama,

I don't know any of you. But I played rugby with Zack at American University.

Unlike those of you who went to high school with him, Zack wasn't my best friend. But I am grateful to have been his friend and I'm sad and angry that he's gone. I'm glad I made it up for his service last Friday, but am upset I couldn't stay for Saturday.

.... and to think last time I saw Zack we were just out of college and had to fight each other to determine who gets couch or the floor for the night.

Oh Amanda, I am so sorry. A very good friend of mine from college was killed during the first Gulf War. I still remember being pasted to CNN in January of '91 watching, waiting... we were seniors then.

Thoughts and prayers to you all.
