Mandy's Candy Bag

Mandy's Candy Bag is a free pattern that I have designed in response to a bunch of requests after this post.Thank you for urging me to go for it and try my hand at designing!

Of course, a contest is now in order!

The "Candy Bag" contest goes like this:
1. Knit the candy bag
2. Post a pic of your candy bag on your blog and let me know about it (with a link to the blog post!).
3. Your name will go into a drawing FIVE TIMES for some swag!

Don't want to knit Mandy's Candy Bag? That's okay! Put a link on your blog to this post so others can see the pattern, let me know about your link, and I'll enter your name ONCE for the swag. (If you link it, then knit it and link it again, you'll get SIX chances! - just tell me know so I know you did it!)

Deadline: Monday, September 3rd, 12:01am eastern standard time.

I probably won't knit it now for the contest but will link to it.

Adorable bag, and the colors look like candy.

I'm so glad to hear that Poppy is doing so well. Scary to see your baby like that - even if you know that they're going to be OK.

I am definately going to knit up that bag. I just happen to have some yummy cotton from my dishcloth swap partner sitting in my stash as we speak.

Okay, not good with the dpns from the start but you know I love the drawstring bags so I might have to give it a try. I definitely have Peaches N Cream or at least Sugar n Cream... hmmmm

Hi again Just wanted you to know I finished up my bag and posted it on my blog http://lovincomfortknits.blogspot.com
2 minor errors on the pattern so you know, no definition of ssk and no asterik in row 13 if you knit you can figure it out but a beginner might wonder, hope you don't mind me pointing it out!! Grace

How long is the icord? I'd like to do that before I start on the bag. Thanks!!

I finished one out of cottonease. It's the perfect size for a ball of cascade fixation! I had a beautiful ribbon that matched so I used that instead of the i-cord. Photos will go up on my blog momentarily- Thanks for the pattern!

OK, I am in! I thought it was too late... :-))

BTW, I will be in Boston this weekend to attend the baseball game... I am not sure the Red Sox are actually playing this weekend - there will be two games in the row - but Hubby wanted to see the statium and it was the only time he could get tickets for the 4 of us sitting together... LOL

I hope I will have time for a little bostonian yarn crawling too... ;-)

Hi, Mandy! One of my friends, Star @ Nectarmay1, couldn't post a comment here (for some mysterious reasons) so she asked me to let you know that she made 2 Candy Bags and linked to your blog, and she would like to enter the contest.

Here is the link where you can see her bags.

Thank you! :-)

I wish I had seen this sooner. I don't knit, but I write a contest column on momsblogging.com and I bet there were people who would love to have joined in.
I want to learn to knit so badly! I'm trying to talk my mother-in-law into teaching me how.

Hi! Ilike the Mandy's Candy Bag. I tried to open the pattern but can't (guess my computer is too old?!) Is there another way I can obtain your pattern? I would like to make it. Thanks

A few minutes ago I sat here thinking about finding pattern for a goodie bag as I can`t buy them where I live. When I popped in this blog I found what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing. I`ll try to figure out how to link to your blog, but so far I haven`t figured out how to do it.
